Privacy Policy
This policy explains what HealThaali collects, why, where it is stored and what control you have — including how to delete your account and its data.
This policy applies to the HealThaali Android application and to this website (healthaali.in). It does not apply to websites or apps we link to.
1. What we collect
To personalise your plan, HealThaali collects the information you enter into it. Based on the product itself, that means:
- Profile and account details — name, age, gender, height, weight, goal weight and the goal you select (for example weight loss).
- Health-related information you choose to enter — for example a self-reported health condition such as type 2 diabetes, recorded so suggestions can respect it.
- Food preferences and lifestyle — for example Indian, low oil, high protein, spicy, and your activity level.
- Food and nutrition activity — meals planned and logged, foods searched, scanned or entered manually, and the nutrition totals that follow.
- Progress data — weight entries and the trend derived from them.
- Food Memory — the derived summary of what you often enjoy, prefer, avoid and eat most frequently.
- Images you scan — if you use photo scanning, the image is used to identify the food.
- Technical data — minimal device and app information needed to operate and secure the service.
This website does not ask you to enter health information. It has no accounts, and — unless an analytics identifier is configured in the deployment — it sets no analytics cookies.
2. How we use it
- To generate and personalise your meal plan, recipes and nutrition targets.
- To calculate the nutrition totals shown on your dashboard and in your reports.
- To power HealThaali AI suggestions, which consider your profile, your preferences and what you have already eaten that day.
- To show your progress over time.
- To send reminders and notifications you have enabled.
- To operate, secure, debug and improve the service — for example diagnosing a fault or understanding which screens are hard to use.
- To respond when you contact us.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Where it is stored
Application data is stored in the backend that serves the app.
This marketing website is served as static files. Your theme preference (light, dark or system) is stored only in your own browser under the key healthaali-theme, and is never transmitted.
4. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We deliberately avoid certification claims (such as ISO, HIPAA or “bank-grade”) that have not been independently verified.
5. Third-party services
Some functionality relies on third parties — for example hosting, authentication, barcode or food-database lookups, and platform services such as Android Health Connect. These providers process data on our instructions or as independent controllers under their own terms.
Health Connect is optional. If you do not connect it, no data is read from or written to it.
Some pages on this website can play a recipe video from YouTube. Nothing is requested from Google while the page loads: the player is fetched from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press play, and from that point the video is served by Google under Google's own privacy policy, which may set its own cookies. If you would rather avoid that entirely, the same videos are published on our YouTube channel, which is linked from every page of this site.
6. Cookies and local storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It stores your colour-theme choice in your browser’s local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme on every visit. Clearing site data removes it.
This website ships without analytics by default. Where a deployment does enable a privacy-friendly analytics service, it is configured to run without third-party cookies.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account exists and for as long afterwards as is needed to meet legal, accounting or security obligations.
8. Deleting your account and your data
HealThaali provides a documented route to delete your account and the data attached to it. In the app this sits under Settings → Data & Privacy.
- Deleting your account deletes your profile, health information, preferences, plan, logs, progress entries and Food Memory.
- Backups may retain a copy for a limited period before being overwritten.
- If you cannot access the app, the account deletion page sets out the exact steps and the message to send; the same request reaches us at info@healthaali.in.
9. Your choices
- Edit or clear your profile and preferences at any time in the app.
- Turn reminders and Health Connect off in Settings.
- Clear the website theme preference by clearing your browser site data.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, or withdrawal of consent. To exercise any of them, email info@healthaali.in.
10. Children
HealThaali is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age at which they can consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Every version is listed in the version history, so what changed and when stays on the record.
12. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data: email info@healthaali.in

Version history
Every version of this document is listed here with the date it took effect. The text on this page is the version in force today. When it changes, the previous version stays in the list, so the date and what changed remain on the record.
Current version
Added a note about the videos embedded on the blog.
- Stated that an embedded video is not requested from Google until the visitor presses play, and that it is served from youtube-nocookie.com.
- Stated that Google's own privacy policy applies to the player from that point, including any cookies it sets.
- Pointed at the YouTube channel for anyone who would rather not load the player at all.
First version.
- Set out what the app collects, how it is used, where it is stored, and how long it is kept.
- Documented both routes for deleting an account and the data attached to it.
- Named the data controller, the contact address and the protections this policy does not promise.
